BibliASPA associated with some companies and institutions to invest in a project which aims at renovating the institution’s kitchen. This space will be expanded and completely refurbished, with benches and other fixtures required to give cooking classes, workshops and courses for refugees, who will be able to learn or improve their techniques in gastronomy.
This project is of great importance, since a significant portion of the immigrants who come to Brazil work with cooking. As a mater of fact, the typical cuisine of their countries and regions of origin, such as the Arabian and the African ones, have become more and more widespread among Brazilians.
Currently, we already offer gastronomy courses, but the kitchen needs to be expanded and renovated to serve more students and to open a cafe with special foods.
